Principal Lawyer Joseph Morrissey is a third generation Lawyer with thirty years experience in legal practice. Joseph and our support staff strive to provide personal attention to each matter according to your needs and circumstances.

Joseph commenced his legal career in 1988 as a Law Clerk in a Sydney law firm.  

 

After admission as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1992, Joseph continued to practice in Sydney before relocating to Milton-Ulladulla on the South Coast of NSW in 1994.  

 

In 2004, Joseph undertook further study in Mediation and Collaborative Law completing a Graduate Certificate in Mediation with Relationships Australia in 2007, Collaborative Law training with the University of Technology, Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution.

 

Joseph has experience in most areas of legal practice and has represented clients in a wide range of matters including civil disputes, family law, property law including conveyancing & leasing, elder law including Wills, Enduring Guardianship, Powers of Attorney, Probate, Deceased Estate administration and Wills disputes. 

 

Although Joseph has conducted litigation on behalf of his clients over the years, he now sees alternative dispute resolution through negotiation and mediation as a better way to settle disputes. 

 

Joseph has considerable mediation experience both as a Mediator and in a supervisory role.  He has conducted mediation in family law parenting and property settlements, deceased estate claims, work place disputes and retirement village conflicts.
